Listening to it prompted me to watch some NIN videos on YouTube - and I’ve just wasted thirty minutes of my work day appreciating* the mesh shirt/shiny pants look of the mid-90s. Remember those days when the word alternative was an adjective regularly applied to people, to describe a certain musical sensibility and style of dress? Or was that just at my high school? Did all high schools have “alternative” kids? *And by appreciating, I also mean cringing a little.
