He was &lt;i&gt;so&lt;/i&gt; cute sitting on his mother’s lap, laughing and drooling and being chubby and adorable, that every single person in the immediate area was smiling at him. To compound the cuteness, a man sitting a few seats down, across from me, had a kitten in a pet carrier on the floor—and the ten-or-so-year-old kid sitting next to me was playing with the kitten by waving his umbrella around low to the floor. The cat followed it back and forth with its eyes and looked like it wanted nothing more than to jump out of the carrier and pounce on the kid’s lap.
